Disney Should Protect Children

Liberal ideology often leaves sane, logical people scratching their heads. The woke culture at Disney is no exception. Let’s face it, Disney is in the business of children, whether it’s fairy princesses or the toddler favorite “Mickey Mouse Club”, the target audience is closer to five than fifty-five. So, when officials within the Disney corporate structure publicly promised more LBGTQIA characters and spoke out against Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill, many parents took pause and began to scratch their heads.

Why would a company that focuses on children need or want to subject young, impressionable minors to conversations about sex or sexual orientation at all? Why would the famed “House of the Mouse” be opposed to parents controlling what kids 3rd grade and under learn about sex? The truth is, Disney is more concerned with participating in woke culture than promoting parental rights.

Karey Burke, president of Disney’s General Entertainment Content, recently said on a Zoom call that she supports featuring “many, many” characters who are LGBTQIA. Disney also made a public statement of intention to have the Florida Parental Rights in Education Bill repealed, stating “Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that.”

So the question remains, Why? Clearly, the answer is because Disney is no longer here to fulfill Walt Disney’s mission of being “a place where parents and children could have fun. Together.”
