Several protesters demonstrated against Turning Point USA’s “Pick Up The Mic” event featuring Alex Stein at the University of Oregon on Oct. 28, causing disruption and resulting in three arrests.

TPUSA’s “Pick Up The Mic” initiative seeks to continue the movement of open dialogue, question-and-answer, and “Prove Me Wrong” style of debate that TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk helped to establish on college campuses across the U.S.

Frontlines TPUSA reporters were on-site and captured footage of protesters’ activities throughout the “Prove Me Wrong” question-and-answer session. Several attendees displayed signs with graphic messages disparaging Charlie Kirk.

One man in attendance repeatedly directed his middle finger toward Stein while shouting a series of slurs at him.

The University of Oregon issued several alerts addressing the disruptive conduct taking place during the event, warning the individuals who were causing disruption to refrain from their actions at once.

The university also stated that individuals affiliated with the university committing such actions could face investigation.

“If investigation finds that the people involved in any disruption are connected to UO, they will be investigated for any potential violations of the Student Conduct Code or employee ethics policies. If it is determined those policies were violated, the university will consider appropriate actions at that time,” another alert stated.

According to The Daily Emerald, two protesters were arrested for disorderly conduct, while another was arrested for harassment.
