At what point are people going to stop with the victimhood mentality and grow up? While we’re very blessed to be living in The United States of America, it does have its downfalls. One of which is the fact that far too many people are bored with their lives. We’ve got it so good in this country that people are now capitalizing off of their hardships through virtue signaling. It’s all you see from people on the left. They throw pity parties and are patted on the back with empty sympathy. How is it that some black people in 2021 complain more than black people in 1950? It’s sad to see.
It’s sad to see so many people in this country not realize how good they have it here. We’re all free. Nothing and no one is stopping me, a black man, from success and going after my dreams. I am my ancestors’ wildest dreams, and I’ll be a fool to not take advantage of the very freedoms this country has afforded me– freedoms of which I’ve personally fought for as well.
It’s time to start pushing back against this victimhood mentality. We have to speak up at all fronts, from within your workplace to candid conversations with your friends. Enough is enough. I understand there will always be good and bad sides to everything, but people need to start taking advantage of what this country truly offers. The same amount of time people spend complaining and looking down on their lives is the same amount of time they can spend curating their dreams. There’s nothing stopping anyone from creating what they want to create in The United States of America, and it’s time for people to take advantage of it.
