That’s how long it took for Massachusetts to declare a humanitarian crisis, mobilize 150 members of their National Guard, and relocate the 50 migrants who were sent to Martha’s Vineyard. Despite their insistence on having open borders and touting sanctuary cities, it turns out that when illegal immigrants arrive in the leftist elite’s community it is actually a crisis, a problem, and an inhumane treatment of people as political pawns. Then they relocate the immigrants once again, this time to Cape Cod, to make sure that they don’t irritate the local Martha’s Vineyard millionaires.
Despite the liberal insistence on pushing open-borders, it turns out that all of a sudden illegal immigrants are actually a problem when leftist elites are the ones who have to deal with them.
In response to this migrant relocation effort by Governor DeSantis, leftists have unleashed the full spectrum of hypocritical attacks. “That’s illegal! Human trafficking!” As if they’ve ever cared about enforcing immigration law, or the fact that Biden has also been transporting migrants throughout the country. “Inhumane!” As if DeSantis had flown the immigrants to a war-zone, not a popular vacation spot for the wealthy.
Can’t forget my personal favorite, “What a waste of taxpayer money!” As if liberals had any desire to actually cut government spending, even considering the fact that illegal immigrants are actually a financial drain on states, and that money spent on relocation could be considered an investment.
New York and D.C. officials have complained at length about the relocation process to their self-declared sanctuary cities, where illegal immigrants will be protected and welcomed in, or so they say.
“We aren’t a border town, we don’t have the infrastructure to handle this type of, level of immigration to our city,” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said in an interview, meanwhile, thousands upon thousands of people have flooded into small border towns, with a fraction of the population and resources of our nation’s capital city.
Ultimately, we can’t blame liberals for not wanting their communities to be overrun, but if that’s really how they feel, they should stop voting to doom southern states to the same fate.
