I can’t believe it but this week is the launch of The Spillover Season THREE! You can look forward to more massive interviews covering everything from true crime to politics to extraordinary life experiences.
As we start dropping episodes for Season 3, I thought it would be fun to go down memory lane with the team who work on both The Spillover and POPlitics, and ask them what their FAVORITE two episodes are out of everything that has been published so far.
Below you’ll get to know the amazing people who work tirelessly on two of your favorite shows in the conservative movement. Whether its coordinating travel for guests, editing the podcast, helping with guest research before interviews, or posting to social media, each of these people play an invaluable role in the success of The Spillover and POPlitics.

Angelo Fazio – Producer of The Spillover
Favorite way to eat a potato: Tater Tots
FIRST PLACE: Season 2 episode 15, “I Saw Demons and Met God.” – Ayahuasca & Psychedelics with Mike Cernovich
Because of the back and forth he had with Alex as well as all of his crazy drug stories, at no point did I know what would come next!
SECOND PLACE: Season 1 episode 7, “I Knew I Was On Fire.” – Interview With Burn Survivor Medley Zeigler
Because of the absolutely jaw dropping, horrifying story balanced by the love she shared with her husband!

Madison Cline – Script Writer/Editor for POPlitics & The Spillover
Favorite way to eat a potato: I peel them, boil them whole, slather them in butter, olive oil and spices, then I bake them uncovered until they are golden brown, and then I cover them in shredded cheese and dip them in sour cream.
FIRST PLACE: Season 1 episode 21, “The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters” – Interview with Author Abigail Shrier
Because it’s an OG episode and I’m an OG fan of the guest!
SECOND PLACE: Season 2 episode 19, “I’m Attracted To Men But I’m Not Gay.” – Tell-All With Christian Walker
No explanation needed. He fabulously brought the tea.

Erika Carder – Social Media Brand Manager for POPlitics/The Spillover
Favorite way to eat a potato: Mashed w/butter, cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper
FIRST PLACE: Season 1 episode 9, “Osama Bin Laden is Dead. I Know Because I Killed Him.” -Interview with Robert J. O’Neill
I love this episode because I LOVE it when America takes out the bad guys – especially the baddest of the bad guys. I’m also weirdly obsessed with Seal Team 6, so anytime I can listen to one of their members tell a story – I am GLUED.
SECOND PLACE: Season 2 episode 1, “The Dark Side of The Birthing Business.” – Interview with Allie Beth Stuckey
I love listening to Alex and Allie on their separate podcasts- to have them come together to discuss such a wildly interesting topic SENT ME! I love their perspective on this topic. When this episode came out, the idea that there was a “dark side” to the birthing business was relatively new. The topic fascinated me, so to see these two powerhouses join forces to tackle the topic was so good!

Dominic Hinton – Editor/Shooter for The Spillover
Favorite way to eat a potato: Sometimes mashed with the right gravy, but if you cut that baby like a waffle and fry it up I will never say no.
FIRST PLACE: Season 1 episode 9, “Osama Bin Laden is Dead. I Know Because I Killed Him.” -Interview with Robert J. O’Neill
This one is my favorite for obvious reasons. But in case you have not listened I will give you two solid reasons why this one is my favorite. Number 1, ALEX IS LITERALLY TALKING TO THE MAN THAT TOOK OUT AMERICA’S MOST WANTED TERRORIST! That is so freaking cool. Number 2, Alex asks interesting questions that I would never have thought to ask a former Navy Seal. His recount of the night they stormed Bin Laden’s compound is chilling and heroic. The story overall makes you feel proud to be an American!
SECOND PLACE: Season 1 episode 3, “In That Moment, I Knew I Was Going To Die.” – Interview With Midsi Sanchez
This is an early episode, but it truly sets the tone for what The Spillover is all about. Real life, bone chilling stories that make you question how you view everyday life. This story is so sad, and intriguing. Alex truly gives the guest a safe and loving platform to talk about their trauma. This story will make you hug your loved ones a little tighter, and hopefully remind parents to always keep a close eye on their children. This episode is a Spillover classic in the truest sense.

Charles Soto – Script Writer/Editor for POPlitics
Favorite way to eat a potato: Home fries style with eggs from my chickens
FIRST PLACE: Season 1 episode 7, “I Knew I was On Fire” – Interview with Burn Survivor Medley Zeigler
I couldn’t look away when I watched this episode. In a world where 90% of people I know are divorced for 0 reasons, this story gave me confidence that marriage isn’t just a mirage on the outside. Not only was her story fascinating, but what really stood out to me was that not even a fire could destroy the love that their marriage contained.
SECOND PLACE: Season 1 episode 20, “Planned Parenthood’s Lies & Pro-Life Controversies.” – Interview With Abby Johnson
I really enjoyed Abby Johnson’s episode, mostly because I’ve never sat down and listened to her story, but also because she easily explained it in this one episode. She was LITERALLY in the fire pit and still had the courage to tell the true story afterwards. A true legend.

Anthony Halturin – Shooter/Editor for The Spillover
Favorite way to eat a potato: Still covered in dirt
FIRST PLACE: Season 1 Episode 25 “Michael Jackson, The clintons, & Criminal Minds.” – Investigating with Serial Killer Profiler Jim Clemente
I was completely enthralled by his experiences in the FBI.
SECOND PLACE: Season 2 episode 6, “The Truth About Alex Clark.” – Alex’s BFF Spills On Her Insecurities, Dating Woes, & Controversial Career
It was so funny to see Alex interacting with her best friend and sharing stories.

Charlie Paixao – Shooter/Editor for POPlitics
Favorite way to eat a potato: Cut into strips and fried
FIRST PLACE: Season 1 episode 1, “He Was Shooting Execution Style.” – Interview with Suzanna Hupp
As a concealed carrier, this episode resonated with me and left a special place in my heart.
SECOND PLACE: Season 2 episode 14 “Digital Heroin: How Screens Are Destorying Your Kids.” – With Dr. Nicholas Kardaras, Ph. D.
I was left with a lot of education and facts, which led me to my own research about kids and screens due to being a new father.

Valentina Mentchoukov – Producer of POPlitics
Favorite way to eat a potato: Mashed
FIRST PLACE: Season 1 episode 4, “My Whole Career I’ve Fought For Girls Who Have Been Sexually Abused.” – Interview with Fancey Hakes
This is my all-time favorite episode because child welfare and child exploitation is one of Alex’s most passionate topics, so to hear an interview with a guest who dedicated their lives to fighting for children was amazing. It’s an extremely heavy interview packed with Francey’s experience in fighting for children, but also getting her perspectives on other topics like the failures of the FBI. This episode is a mix of heavy emotion, and pure interest/intrigue. I also think Alex is in her element during this interview because it’s such an important topic to her. I listened to this maybe 4 or 5 times.
SECOND PLACE: Season 1 episode 22, “You Asked A Pastor WHAT?!” – Sex, Love, and Dating With Pastor Jonathan Pokluda
This is my second all-time fave of The Spillover because I resonate with the topic. I am that person that feels awkward talking about anything love, dating, marriage, divorce, sex, etc. But Pastor JP spills major tea on topics we all want to know about. Something that I appreciate about this interview is that we are getting a lot of perspective from a man on dating/marriage, and it gave me hope that good men still exist. This episode really showcases Alex’s personality and talent as an interviewer because she truly does not stray far from asking the CRAZIEST questions to a PASTOR. (She has no shame and I am living for it). As a young conservative Christian woman, this interview was such a FUN, yet informative listen. I also made my boyfriend listen to this LOL.

Alex Clark – Host of POPlitics & The Spillover
Favorite way to eat a potato: Mashed with corn and gravy mixed in
Are you kidding me? I can’t pick two favorite episodes! That’s like picking a favorite child. The truth is that I choose every single guest myself for a specific reason. I love each and every story that has been told on the show, and I choose them because I think that for a specific reason you will love them too. That being said, there is only ONE guest I did NOT like! Of course, some interviews are harder or easier to conduct than others, and given a guest’s experience and comfortability speaking and being on camera makes a big difference.
Now YOU have to comment your FIRST and SECOND favorite episode AND your favorite way to eat a potato. Cheers to season 3!
