For whatever reason, in our economic climate, the call to “tax billionaires out of existence” is growing larger.
Let me translate what this means: the government can limit and control your wealth. This is an incredibly DANGEROUS idea that threatens the beauty of America’s capitalistic economy.
America wasn’t built to make sure that everyone succeeds equally. And as much as it hurts to hear, the beauty of capitalism is that you get what you put into your work.
If you work hard, come up with a good idea or product, and put time in, you can succeed.
If you sit on your couch and don’t work hard, don’t put in the time that many billionaires do for their business, then you don’t and shouldn’t reap the benefits of their work. PERIOD.
We live in a capitalist society, not a socialist one. If this is such a problem, people need to start spending their time working harder rather than complaining.
