Picture this, you’re taking a little stroll in the park with your son, and then BAM, wild boars are coming at you with a vengeance.
Well, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer Shakira doesn’t have to picture this because she EXPERIENCED it!
In a series of Instagram Stories the pop star posted last week, she explained how she and her 8-year-old son were walking in a park when two wild boars came out of nowhere and attacked and even ran off with her purse.
Thankfully neither of them was seriously injured and she eventually recovered the bag in the woods.
“Look at how two wild boars which attacked me in the park have left my bag,” she said in a video on her Instagram story. “They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it. They’ve destroyed everything.”

The population of wild boars in Europe has skyrocketed in numbers in the past several years. According to the Spanish Police, in 2016, they received 1,187 calls about wild boars specifically.
Barcelona’s City Hall website even mentions that wild boars in Spain’s Collserola Mountain Range are no longer afraid of people.
The website also states, “Some of these animals are getting increasingly bold and can even become aggressive.”
