Celebrity Twitter wars are nothing new, but actor Seth Rogen’s latest spat on the platform shows that he’s out-of-touch and in denial of the crime wave that is sweeping across liberal cities due to defunding the police and weak-on-crime prosecutors.

An LA-based YouTube star by the name of Casey Neistat took to Twitter to complain that his car had been burglarized and that birthday decorations for his daughter had been stolen. This led notorious drug abuser Seth Rogen to reply by saying, “Dude, I’ve lived here for over 20 years. You’re nuts, haha. It’s lovely here. Don’t leave anything valuable in it. It’s called living in a big city.”

With this tweet, Rogen, who’s worth an estimated 80 million dollars, normalized crime while shaming the victim. It should NEVER be seen as okay to break into a car!

It’s okay for Rogen though because his wealth affords him the ability to avoid danger. Whether it’s living in a safe neighborhood or hiring private security, Rogen is protected, so of course, he thinks LA is “lovely.”

Does he think human feces in the streets and homeless drug-addicted teens in skid row are lovely? Does he think smash and grab crimes at retail stores are lovely? Does he think surging crime all over LA is lovely?

Maybe he should read the “lovely” story about Marie Antoinette and her out-of-touch perspective. Spoiler alert… it didn’t end well.
