An employee of the National Basketball Association (NBA) has come under fire for posting a series of spiteful Instagram stories directed at the legacy of the late TPUSA Founder Charlie Kirk in the wake of his passing.

The employee, who is an unnamed male, reposted a post from an account called RogueDNC. The post showed an image of Charlie Kirk along with the question, “What is Charlie Kirk’s legacy?’

“Did absolutely nothing healthy for the world except spew dangerous rhetoric. The Hypocrites being loudest in the room… nothing new. There is no legacy… he was a terrible person (a ****hole). No sympathy for someone who doesn’t believe in empathy,” he wrote in response to the question.

On a subsequent post the employee stated, “Oh I also forgot to include ‘thoughts and prayers’ LMAO.”

OutKick first reported on the story and has followed up with the NBA.

“[Redacted] is a project employee at NBA Entertainment. We were made aware today of social media posts that are being attributed to him and are looking into them,” an NBA spokesperson said.

The employee was reportedly suspended for two weeks for violating NBA policies. OutKick reached out to him and the league several times, but has yet to be given a response.

“OutKick followed up, asking for a timeline on the review and offering to delay publication to give the league time to complete it. As of Oct. 14, the league has not provided any further comment despite multiple follow-up emails,” the outlet stated.
