A student at Mississippi State University threatened a TPUSA chapter table, and even damaged the display during an exchange with chapter members.
“We were tabling for our chapter at the YMCA Plaza at Mississippi State University,” a chapter member present during the incident told TPUSA. “An individual came up asking if we were ‘that republican group.’ We explained that we were a conservative organization that promotes conservative values and common sense solutions. He then starts verbally harassing us, calls me a traitor and disgrace because I’m Latino American supporting a conservative administration and agenda.”
The student then began to mimic the assassination of Charlie Kirk before the students, and said “he’s glad he is dead and that Erika should be next.”
This was followed by a series of threats to the students.
“He then states that all of us there and anyone else he disagrees with deserves to die the same way as Charlie. We asked why he would say something like that, and he said it was because he hates racism,” the chapter member continued.
The student also was unable to provide an example of Kirk’s alleged racism after being asked and thereafter resorted to throwing the materials on the table onto the ground as he uplifted the tablecloth.
“He then repeats his death threats and says the world is better off without Charlie and soon without us. As we were cleaning up he said he would be back to destroy it again if we didn’t leave before he got back. Well we didn’t leave, and continued as if nothing happened… He did come back, but only threatened and harassed us because we wouldn’t let him near the table. The police were called and he was arrested.”
