The fast food restaurant chain In-N-Out has issued a new policy that prohibits employees from wearing a mask at work without a medical exception.
According to an internal memo sent out to employees, In-N-Out has established a new policy that requires employees to provide a medical note to wear a mask while working. The medical note must state the “reason for exemption” and include “the estimated duration.”
Dr. Lucky Tran, a science activist on social media, shared the food chain’s full internal memo on Twitter.
“No masks shall be worn in the Store or Support facility unless an Associate has a valid medical note exempting him or her from this requirement. Associates who wear masks for medical reasons must wear a company-provided N-95 mask. Note: A different type of mask may only be worn with a valid medical note exempting the Associates from the n-95 mask requirement.”

In-N-Out’s new mask policy will take effect at all locations in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, and Utah. The company will not, however, enforce the policy in its home state California.
The company’s decision to prohibit mask-wearing by healthy employees has been implemented so that customers can see “smiles and other facial features” while ordering their food. The company also explained that it believes the new policy will “help to promote clear and effective communication” between customers and employees.
Despite this, many left-wing activists on social media have expressed their outrage at In-N-Out’s policy. Several users have gone as far as to call for a boycott of the beloved fast-food chain.
In-N-Out is no stranger to standing up against the unreasonable demands of the left. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company publicly spoke out against requiring employees to show proof of vaccination. In-N-Out’s chief legal and business officer at the time, Arnie Wensinger, stated that the company had no intention of policing the vaccination status of its employees.
“As a company, In-N-Out Burger strongly believes in the highest form of customer service and to us that means serving all customers who visit us and making all customers feel welcome. We refuse to become the vaccination police for any government,” Wensinger said.
Conservatives have taken effective measures over the last few months to condemn companies that promote radical, left-wing values. But it is equally important to reward companies that stay true to conservative beliefs. In-N-Out should be rewarded for refusing to bend the knee to tyrannical, leftist activists.
