Former Twitter head of trust and safety Yoel Roth testified before Congress on Wednesday at a hearing to investigate Twitter’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story. Roth was among the number of top Twitter executives that were exposed during the “Twitter Files” release for playing a direct role in the censorship of conservatives on the tech platform.
While being questioned by the Congressional Oversight Committee about his time working for Twitter, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shifted topics to ask Roth about the infamous LibsofTikTok Twitter account.
The congresswoman brought up a post by LibsofTiktok regarding Boston Children’s Hospital. Ocasio-Cortez accused the Twitter account of promoting false information and lies when it stated that Boston Children’s Hospital was providing hysterectomies to children. Roth responded to this by agreeing the account was peddling lies. He also stated that it is regrettable the account is still allowed on Twitter.

The congresswoman accuses LibsofTikTok of spreading lies that incited violence. She also accused conservatives of having an “obsession with fixating violence and inciting violence against trans and LGBT people.”
However, what LibsofTikTok stated regarding Boston Children’s Hospital was not inaccurate. The account posted a video from the hospital itself explaining the process of “gender-affirming hysterectomies.”
Boston Children’s Hospital was the first hospital in the nation to open a health program for transgender children. On their website, they previously stated that gender affirmation surgery services are available for “eligible adolescents.” It was not until they received widespread backlash from the public that they changed their website to now say that these medical services were only available for individuals over the age of 18.
The owner of LibsofTikTok is one of the few remaining journalists in this country who actually investigate and uncover the truth. Because of this, it’s not surprising that radical leftists are enraged that the account has not been silenced on the platform. Many members of the intolerant left are used to big tech shutting down violence that goes against their agenda. But since Elon Musk has taken over Twitter, and alternative forms of media are on the rise, things are finally starting to change.
