Over the weekend, Dr. Fauci stated that Americans need to be ready to “be flexible enough to pivot” back to the possibility of “more rigid type of restrictions.”
I’ve just about had it with the lockdowns and regulations. It will have been three years since each of our lives completely changed in November. Starting in 2020, if we were lucky, our jobs got moved online. Our schools got shut down. The economy crashed, along with our livelihood. The effects of the pandemic weren’t just on the economy and education. Suicide rates soared, along with rates of domestic abuse and many other momentous metrics. Worst of all, our politicians and leaders ignored our cries for help.
I believe that it’s imperative that I do everything in my power to make sure that the future is not a repeat of the last two years. Our country and its citizens simply can’t handle the consequences of another lockdown. There will always be viruses—whether coronaviruses or not—and we must live with them. Life must go on, and our government should be empowering American citizens by enabling them to make their own choices about their own bodies. Overall, the government’s job is to protect our freedoms, not our health.
This is our time to practice civil disobedience. You can tell Fauci NO in many ways, but perhaps the most effective is stopping compliance with his demands and raising awareness about the harm he has vouched for. After following Fauci’s orders for the past two years, I say it’s time for Fauci to listen to ours.
