The far-Left lunatics of California continue to cater to woke activists while their state descends into chaos!
The reparations conversation will just never die, and now it’s bubbling up yet again in California. According to The Hill, a task force in California has been approved to start considering paying reparations for African-American descendants of slaves:
The bill will require a commission study the lingering impact of slavery in the state and make recommendations to lawmakers by July 2023. The recommendations should include details on what form of compensation should be awarded as well as its recipients.
“California has come to terms with many of its issues, but it has yet to come to term with its role in slavery,” said Assemblywoman Shirley Weber, a Democrat who authored the bill. Weber said California has “deeply-rooted issues about race and slavery. We’re talking about really addressing the issues of justice and fairness in this country that we have to address,” Weber added.
As a Black American, I will never stop wondering why the far-Left in this country remains completely obsessed with the idea of handouts in the form of reparations. The fact that this conversation is taking place in the state of California – which was ALWAYS a free state – is even more ludicrous. But when those in charge are obviously ignoring homelessness, rampant inflation, and other kitchen-table issues in favor of placating the insatiable tastes of the woke crowd, I wouldn’t expect anything less.
It’s time for people to get over the idea of reparations. Anyone who is even still thinking about this cannot be making any moves to make real money or fundamental change in their own lives!
