What started out as a normal bus ride to Powhatan County Public School (Virginia) turned into a crazy animal encounter really quick.
A deer crashed through the school bus’s front windshield, landing on a sleeping student in the front seat. As you can see in the video below, the deer jumps to its feet quickly after looking for a way to get back outside.
As you can see, the driver looked just as surprised as anyone would but then realized the situation and opened the door to let the deer run off.
According to the superintendent, Larry Johns, who reported to the Richmond Times-Dispatch newspaper, no one was hurt during the event and the deer surprisingly appeared to be just fine as it sprinted away to a nearby field.
The driver told the newspaper, “The deer jumped up at about the time the bus hit it.”
The craziest part was, this incident came just moments after the driver avoided hitting a different deer.
Talk about a rude awakening for the kid in the front seat…
