The 117th Congress kicked off 2021 with a fresh controversy on Sunday when the Rep. Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri finished his prayer with “Amen and a-woman.” To the average woke viewer or listener, this could seem like some sort of act of equality. A reasonable free-thinking person who conducts less than two minutes of internet research will realize that this is yet another attempt to shove manufactured inequality down our throats.

Amen is not a gendered term. Amen has NOTHING to do with gender. It is a biblical word meaning “may it be so,” “verily”, “truly”, and “so be it.” It is also used colloquially to express strong agreement.
