The tradition of a high school prom king and queen is a fun and valued experience throughout high schools in America. But now, with school boards turning more woke each and every day, the Atrisco Heritage Academy High School in the APS District announced they will not be awarding a prom king or queen for the 2021-2022 school year. According to the APS website, this decision was intended to “promote inclusivity and diversity.”
So in order to create a more “diverse” environment for students, the high school plans to cancel their annual prom king and queen and replace it with a Homecoming Court. According to a KRQE report, the district said, “We believe this change will reflect and celebrate the diversity that is present within our student body and community.”
This is yet another example of woke liberal ideology infiltrating our schools, tearing down tradition, and indoctrinating the youth with their “science-denying” theories. There is a difference between men and women, and Atrisco Heritage Academy High School denies that truth by implementing this radical change in disguise of “inclusivity.”
We’ve seen school boards fight to get rid of gender-specific bathrooms. We’ve seen school boards support biological men competing in women’s sports. We’ve seen professors encourage their students to identify under various pronouns, seek gender reassignment surgeries without their parents knowing, and even offer ways to accomplish these very serious and permanent decisions. Now, eliminating prom kings and queens is another way to destroy humanity and tear down what is true, good, and just.
We need to fight back against these radical school boards to save our country’s future. Our kids deserve to be led in an honest and prosperous direction and maintain values and traditions that make our country great.
