While this concept has been discussed for years, the return of millions of people traveling after the pandemic has sparked the conversation again. The federal government and airlines may soon ask travelers to step on a scale prior to boarding flights, but the Federal Aviation Administration said there will be no sharing of people’s weight. Some are concerned. After all, they don’t believe choosing people at random will be effective and think it is scary because they already provide so much information.
