There’s is still a consistent group of media outlets that seem to be coddling those who want to continue to wear masks because “it just makes them feel safe.”
I’m not going to get into the whole mask argument because it’s abundantly clear that masks, especially cloth masks, now are unnecessary and don’t do anything to stop the spread of COVID. I think every American who chooses to be aware of this “science” is aware.
However, a large group of Americans don’t want to let the pandemic go. Despite the evidence that overwhelmingly suggests that we don’t need masks, people are still clinging to them. Now, that was to be expected, but my question really is, why are there media types who want to hold the COVIDian’s hands throughout the unmasking process?
Unfortunately, there are even still municipalities with power that are a part of this subgroup of ‘scared to death’ COVIDites.

We’re continuing to act like the imaginary fear from a largely bygone disease is normal. Newsflash
IT’S NOT NORMAL.
How long are we going to pretend that the people still grasping to any vestige of COVID are just “cautious and want to make sure they’re safe?” As we end the pandemic, we will have to decide as a society when enough is enough. Am I saying we should disregard people’s feelings? Absolutely not. BUT it doesn’t do them any good to continue to pretend that what they’re doing is indefinitely acceptable.
