We’ve heard a lot of talk in recent weeks about the possibility of mandated COVID-19 vaccines, especially for travel and potentially for returns to school and work environments. This has been a significant point of concern for those wary of a new vaccine with little long-term study or who choose not to vaccinate based on medical or religious exemptions.

Now, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is threatening to hold people criminally liable if they DID get the COVID-19 vaccine before the government told them they were eligible to receive it! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Today, the state of New York is only allowing frontline health workers and elderly individuals in long-term care facilities to receive the vaccine. However, there are rumors that a Brooklyn-based group of medical clinics has given the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to people outside of these two categories.

While there is little legal standing for the Governor to threaten criminal liability for vaccine distribution, it certainly is an interesting scare tactic to scare people out of getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

The benchmarks and goalposts change so frequently when it comes to virus regulations; it’s tough to keep up anymore. Do you think the COVID-19 vaccine should be mandated, and/or should we prevent people from getting vaccinated? Let us know what you think! 👇
