According to TPUSA’s Professor Watchlist, Dr. David Finkelhor is a professor of sociology at the University of New Hampshire, as well as the director of the Crimes Against Children Research Center and co-Director of the Family Research Laboratory. He specializes in research on child sexual abuse.
Dr. Finkelhor speaks at child sexual abuse conferences, as well as lectures on “Sexual Abuse Prevention” and “Developmental Victimology.”
According to the Twitter Account “Libs of TikTok”, Dr. Finkelhor was recorded in a zoom lecture claiming that it is “ineffective to assume a sexual relationship between young people and adults is predatory and criminal.” Finkelhor has also been reported to say that many adult offenders are not pedophiles, they are just “opportunistic.”
