During his speech at Turning Point USA’s Amfest, Tucker Carlson discussed the concept of evil and how it operates in our society. He emphasized that evil is not just something inflicted on others but is a force that preexists and acts through people.

“I think people misunderstand evil. They assume that evil is something you inflict on other people,” Carlson said to attendees. “And what they miss is that that’s not exactly how it works. Evil preexists us … it’s something that acts through people… and in the process of doing that what happens to them? They are destroyed.”

Carlson explained that individuals who carry out evil never win in the end. Ultimately, these people will become destroyed by the very evil that flows through them. But how does society fight against evil?

Carlson proposed internal strength as a crucial factor. He suggested that in order to obtain internal strength, individuals need to be truthful in all aspects of their lives, not just in politics but also in personal relationships. Telling the truth consistently and being honest about oneself can lead to increased strength and empowerment. According to Carlson, this practice will reveal personal shortcomings and, by confronting them, individuals can become stronger against all forms of opposition.

“The words your lips form should be utterly true all the time,” Carlson passionately recommended.

Carlson further warned that American society is entering a period of volatility and challenges. He urged people to stand firm against lies, show up, and not fear the forces promoting dishonesty. In retaliation of the elites trying to implement their evil on the country, Carlson explained that Americans should be “showing up and standing immobile in the face of their lies and not fearing them.”
