It appears the federal government is now attempting to establish its own “Disinformation Governance Board” in an attempt to “combat misinformation and disinformation” in the United States.
The Ministry of Truth was coined by George Orwell that wrote of a fictional dystopian totalitarian country that was regulated by “Big Brother,” the fascist government that ruled it in his famous book, 1984. The Ministry of Truth was a branch of that government that would dictate that which was true through its citizens’ media and information.
It appears now this is not just a fictional tale, but a fulfilled prophecy, or maybe just history repeating itself. We have seen communist and fascist regimes in history establish and commit to similar agendas, and now it’s here on American soil.
Who gets to determine what is true and what is not? The federal government? Immediately this poses major problems, the government has no business regulating what is true and what is not to any human being on planet earth, this always leads to more oppression and censorship.
