Last week in Greece, a teenager was sentenced to 6 months in prison for hosting a New Year’s Eve Party that violated the nation’s lockdown measures against COVID-19.

The 19-year-old said in court that he had not seen his friends for over four months before the party, and he wasn’t expecting so many people to attend until they showed up.

He was fined 3,000 euros for hosting the party in addition to his prison sentence.

What do you think about this ruling in Europe? Are you expecting similar measures to be taken in the United States?
