This week, thousands of flights have been cancelled nationwide under the guise of “weather,” when in reality, Southwest Airlines pilots and airline personnel have been protesting the company’s vaccine mandate for employees.
The CEO of Southwest Airlines has since come forward and said to the media that he was never in favor of vaccine mandates but felt President Joe Biden “forced his hand.”
A photo of a Gadsden flag (don’t tread on me) flying out of the window of a Southwest plane has gone viral across the internet, sparking a nationwide conversation about vaccine mandates for employees of airline companies.
Meanwhile, Governor Greg Abbott has signed an executive order banning vaccine mandates in the state of Texas, which is where Southwest Airlines is based. Time will tell if they’ll choose to follow state or federal mandates!
In the meantime, the inconvenience of a flight being cancelled is a small price to pay when it comes to preserving medical freedom… and rumor has it, more airlines and even air traffic control personnel are going to follow suit. We stand with you, Southwest pilots–do not comply!
