In 2020, one of the loudest cries from the radical Left has been the family unit’s dissolution, claiming the concept of a “traditional” family is outdated. It must be replaced by something more “progressive.”

On her hit podcast, Relatable, Allie Beth Stuckey has previously discussed the rise of the call from the Left and the modern feminist movement to dissolve the nuclear family and instead raise children in a community lacking designated parents and individual family units.

Today, this call has entered the halls of academia thanks to a Mississippi State University professor, Margaret Hagerman. While guest-lecturing at Cornell University, Hagerman shared her view that an appropriate response to white families’ inherent racism would be to eliminate single-family parenting and instead embrace a “collective approach to parenting.”

Parents have a genuinely awesome responsibility to educate and equip their children to be successful individuals as they grow and impact the world. It’s a genuinely sacred calling and opportunity to be a parent to a child, and suggesting we eliminate this position from society because it is somehow “racist” or immoral is ludicrous. Our society needs strong, kind, and morally-sound parents to thrive and instill these values in the next generation!

What do you think about the call to eliminate the family and embrace “collective parenting?” ????
