First and foremost, I would like to thank each and every person who attended this breakout session. The number of 2A Baddies in attendance is proof that this is a topic we need to continue to focus these sessions on. It is especially important to talk about now, when so many people in this country want to take guns away from law-abiding citizens.

If you missed the breakout session, don’t worry, I am going to recap a few of my favorite questions.

But before I do that, let’s take a moment to appreciate this was a STANDING ROOM ONLY event!

Every single chair was full and there were even ladies seated on the floor and standing in the back of the room. This was such an incredible experience and I am grateful to everyone who joined us gun-girls, and for Turning Point USA which put on a phenomenal event!

Now without further ado, read below for my favorite Q&A’s!

Q: “What should a female do if her employer has a no-firearms policy in place, but she feels unsafe and unprotected in her work environment because she is working alone, late hours, etc.”

A: Speak with your employer regarding your personal safety concerns. Firearms are a great tool and I love empowering women to carry, but it may not always the solution. You have to be an advocate for your safety; just because your employer has a policy in place does not mean it’s best for you.

Q: “What every day carry firearm would you recommend for a woman?”

A: Some of my personal favorites are the Glock 43, 43x, and 42. Sig 365 is also a great choice, as well as the Hellcat, or Beretta APX Carry. I also recommend going to a shooting range that allows you to rent firearms before purchase to ensure that you feel comfortable with the weight, size, and magazine capacity.

Q: “How can I be comfortable conceal carrying with one in the chamber?”

A: This is all about getting comfortable with you gun and your selected holster. Trusting the products you select to carry your firearm is essential, as is practicing with them and getting use to using them. For more on this, check out my Q&A highlight on my Instagram, @some_chick_who_shoots.

When we left this breakout session, I could not believe the amount of excitement and appreciation we received in the post panel meet and greet. This again speaks volumes as to why we need to continue to provide these ladies with the training and support they need to feel comfortable and confident around firearms.

Hopefully there will be a firearm breakout session at The Student Action Summit in July and I hope to see you there! Remember to use code PAIGE for 25% off your ticket!

Thank you to the wonderful ladies who led the panel with me, find their information below!
