Turning Point USA Faith’s Make Heaven Crowded made an impactful stop on July 24 in Seattle, Washington, despite the political climate of the region and the presence of several protesters demonstrating nearby the event, which was held at The Pursuit Church.
TPUSA CEO Erika Kirk addressed the audience with advice on enduring adversity in life through faith in God.
“And yes, the battles will rage. They always do but you trust God and you’re fearless. You’re not reckless, but you’re fearless,” she stated. “We all have our race to run, but I just want you to be focused on the endurance of the race and not the acceleration of it. There’s something really to be said for having that endurance and knowing the source of that endurance.”
“Someone once told me that eternal life begins the moment that you truly know Christ. And that’s so true because when you understand that, it changes the whole meaning of suffering,” Kirk continued. “And it changes it in a way where you understand that heaven now literally invades your life in the most beautiful way.”
Pastor Russell Johnson spoke about prevalent cultural issues affecting the US, with emphasis on the Pacific Northwest region – where he also resides as pastor at The Pursuit Church – and its importance for Christianity in America.
“We are not abandoning our mission. The Pacific Northwest does not belong to criminals or communists. This place belongs to Christ,” he said.
Russell also accompanied Frontlines TPUSA reporter Jonathan Choe on a tour through the areas in which people were demonstrating against the event.
