From the beginning, the coronavirus lockdown was a complete and total mistake. Lockdowns will go down as one of the worst decisions in the history of our country.

Government leaders told us, “15 days will slow the spread.” Here we are headed into the 10th month of Chinese Coronavirus restrictions, and as we feared, the solution is proving worse than the problem, causing irreparable damage to generations of Americans.

While the activist media continues to fear-monger about how dangerous this virus with a 99.98% survival rate is (99.997% among 0-19-year-olds), let’s look at some of the devastating costs and collateral damage these draconian measures exact on our society.

This year, patients have been denied cancer care, kidney dialysis, and urgent transplant surgeries, electing to wait or avoid hospitals altogether, presumably out of fear of contracting the virus. Experts predicted and are already experiencing considerable surges in preventable diseases and other treatable ailments that have become severe due to this avoidable trend. Forty million people are out of work, anxiety and substance abuse have spiked more than 40%. In just one disturbing example among countless others, suicide rates are up 200% in Tennessee’s six counties. A second example comes from California, where more people under 35 have died from suicide than from the virus.

The economic fallout continues: 200,000 small businesses have gone under200 million people worldwide will go back into absolute and total poverty because of these lockdowns. There will be 265 million people at risk of starvation–several genuinely Biblical proportions. But the negative consequences from the lockdowns are not quarantined to adults or the infirmed. Children suffer from social isolation and are being set back academically as schools around the country remain closed indefinitely. Five hundred thousand fewer babies will be born next year, a number so startling it is indicative of a civilizational collapse, not overpopulation as so many doomsdayers once obsessed over.

But I thought it’s all about health, right? They told us that we have to do the right thing for safety and public health.

If it was, why are many churches still closed, yet BLM Inc. is allowed to parade through the streets of our country with no masks and no social distancing? Less than two weeks ago, 30,000 left-wing supporters celebrated in front of the White House, sharing bottles of champagne. The Los Angeles Lakers celebration drew in 15,000 people in the streets of LA. Tens of thousands gathered in leftist strongholds to celebrate the media’s premature coronation of the presidential election. All the while, hypocrites like Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot told constituents to cancel their Thanksgiving plans while she spent the weekend leading a pro-leftist rally in the streets.

Yet if you have 25 people in your church, you will have city officials raid your building, levy steep fines, and have to appear in court.
