First Lady Jill Biden (oops, forgot to add the Dr.) compared the Latino community to tacos in an unintentionally hilarious speech in San Antonio, Texas on Monday.
“The diversity of this community — as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio — is your strength,” the First Lady said.
Her remarks apparently upset the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, who wrote in a tweet regarding her comments, “we are not tacos,” and encouraged the First Lady and her team to be more mindful of their comments.
In fact, her comments upset enough people to warrant a half-hearted apology from her press secretary in this Tweet:
The internet response has been absolutely hysterical, as expected:
There was this gem from TPUSA’S own, Jack Posobiec:
Univision, a well know America-Spanish network, even reported on the most popular memes:
Then there is this fantastic joke from the Daily Wire:

Basically, Jill Biden talking to Hispanic voters is only popular in the sense that it makes for great meme content.
This administration takes radical pandering to a whole new level. For some reason, they let First Lady Jill Biden make another public appearance with the Hispanic community after the “si se puede” disaster.
Let’s relive the second-hand embarrassment together:
The fact is, people don’t like where the country is heading and the racial stereotyping definitely isn’t helping. The First Lady’s comments weren’t necessarily offensive, the audience can be heard just barely laughing at her comparison, however the remarks were definitely distasteful. I can only imagine the indignation that would follow if a conservative had made these comments.
But the right won’t be enraged by the comparison, we will simply sit back and enjoy the various online jokes made at the First Lady’s expense, like adults.
