Turning Point USA CEO, Erika Kirk, opened the 2026 Women’s Leadership Summit addressing ideologies that, when lived out, stifle women from living a fulfilling life through their faith and values.

Particularly, Kirk criticized the influence of feminism on womanhood, an influence that causes loneliness, resentfulness, and confusion. A division between men and women is established and expanded by this ideology as well, she noted.

“This worldview results in a culture where womanhood is viewed as a competing force against manhood rather than something that is complimentary,” she stated. “As women in today’s world, we’re blessed with far more choices than any other generation in history: we have far more choices but why is that having all those choices is leaving us with far less clarity about who we are and what we are created for?”

“Each wave of feminism, and the judgment of culture analyzing women down to an ideology completely overcomplicates something so simple and beautiful as womanhood,” Kirk continued. “If an ideology leaves people lonelier, resentful, confused and weaker than before then perhaps it is time to question whether that ideology is actually serving the people it’s claiming to empower. As women, we are made for obligations that are greater than ourselves, it’s in our DNA. I feel it every day. I know that you guys do too. And that’s why it’s nearly impossible to find satisfaction in this world when you are relentlessly focused.”

Kirk gave the following admonition to women toward the close of her speech.

“So again, in all of this, you have a choice as to which path you take in life. You can be a woman of the world, as we just saw or you can be a woman of the word. That choice is yours: which path will you choose? I pray she chooses the right one.”
