Frontlines TPUSA reporter Brandon Drey interviewed several attendees of the 2026 Comic-Con in San Diego, California, asking cultural and political questions framed within certain themes of comic books.
One attendee promoted the act of cosplaying as something that should be considered normal.
“Anyone should be able to dress up the way they want. If you want to wear a skirt as a guy, go ahead and do it. I mean, who doesn’t love a guy in a dress?” he suggested.
Drey asked several attendees of the convention who they believe “in modern culture or politics today is the clear-cut villain?”
“The Trump administration,” one person said, along with several others, some of whom additionally said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Are there any good guys left?” one person asked in response.
One attendee noted “the hero should be the people of all the countries,” while another, who wore a fox mask and outfit, named New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani as heroic.
When asked if they could have a superpower, one attendee chose a power reflecting the non-binary community, which was something he noted ironically.
“Not to be a stereotype to the transgender, specifically non-binary, community, but shapeshifting,” one person said in response to this question. “Sorry to my siblings out there, but shape-shifting goes too hard.”
