TPUSA’s BLEXIT Chapter in Alaska Hosts City-Wide Clean Up

Turning Point USA’s BLEXIT chapter in Anchorage, Alaska hosted a city-wide clean-up to support the local community and preserve the city’s beauty.
Through the BLEXIT initiative, Turning Point USA seeks to foster a spirit of patriotism in minority communities living across America. To do this, BLEXIT chapter members go directly to the locations and populations that are most in need.
At the beginning of the month, chapter leaders in Anchorage decided that they wanted to make a positive impact on their community, which has been affected by a large homeless population living in the city. More than 125 people live on the streets in Anchorage, and more than 1,000 reside in homeless shelters in the area — a large number considering the city’s population.

Chapter members gathered on May 9th at the Downtown Town Square Park and began cleaning a little over 12 blocks for the day. The side streets and alleys where homeless people typically stay are often overlooked by other clean-up efforts that want to leave certain parts of the city untouched and unassisted.
TPUSA’s BLEXIT chapter members are willing to get their hands dirty for the betterment of their communities. Anything can happen when good people are willing to go to work to support their families, their neighbors, and their state, which will ultimately positively impact the country.
Turning Point USA’s BLEXIT (“black-exit”) initiative was established to empower all by abolishing the victimhood mentality that holds many back from pursuing freedom and obtaining the American Dream.
