Conservative Senator Ron Johnson forced the Senate to read the 628-page COVID-19 relief bill out loud before voting on it.

I just objected to skipping past the reading of the Democrats’ 628-page bill that was just introduced minutes ago.

If they’re going to add nearly $2T to the national debt at least we should know what’s in the bill.

This was a beautiful political move by Senator Johnson because the leftists tried to sneak pork into this bill, as they have with past COVID-19 relief bills. To reference an example, Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer tried to recive $1.5 million in funding to for a bridge connecting Canada and the United States and Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi tried to sneak in a cool $112 million for a Silicon Valley subway which is being named, “Speaker Pelosi’s pork subway project”. This is about bringing financial relief to families who’s lives have been devastated due to this virus. Not your selfish, ill-timed, costly passion projects that you want struggling Americans to front the bill for.

Here’s a breakdown of what was turned down:

I didn't support the "COVID relief" bill because it won't provide targeted relief, but spends BILLIONS on longtime Dem pet projects.

SEN. SCHUMER says Democrats’ "rescue plan" isn't a liberal wish-list but an American wish-list.

But this was never the American people’s idea of a rescue:

Unfortunately, some pork did find its way into the bill after amendments were made. Still, thanks to Senator Ron Johnson, not one person can claim that they “didn’t read it” in defense of voting to pass atrocious agenda advancing policy behind the cloak of the coronavirus relief bill.

The People need relief and nobody should be taking advantage of the crisis to push an agenda.
