Leftists Turn on White House Administration Regarding the Crisis at the Border
We are all aware that there is a crisis unfolding on our southern border.
Since President Biden has taken office, illegal immigration has hit record numbers mostly due to this administration’s soft rhetoric and unwillingness to increase border security. Last year, migrant encounters at the border hit 1.7 million, the highest it has been since 2000 and the highest number recorded since the federal government officially started tracking in 1960.
Turning Point USA has heavily reported on the multitude of issues stemming from our open southern border. From drug trafficking to mass migration of illegals’ walking into the country, it is clear that this is an invasion.
The White House has failed to enact effective policies that reduce these issues occurring on our border. And now, even some prominent leftists are starting to turn on this administration.
In a recent debate in Phoenix, Senator Mark Kelly called the situation at the border a ‘mess’ and stated the president’s decisions regarding the border as ‘dumb.’ Senator Kelly stated, “when the president decided he was going to do something dumb on this and change the rules, you know, that would create a bigger crisis.“
Senator Kelly isn’t the only one to speak against the radical left’s ineffectiveness at the border. New York Mayor Eric Adams criticized the ‘far left’ for doing nothing to solve the problems that come with illegal immigration. After several border state governors sent illegal immigrants to New York City (a city that pledged to be a ‘sanctuary city’ for illegals), Mayor Adams condemned the far-left’s inaction by stating, “The far left is doing nothing. I mean the silence — I don’t believe the silence that I’m hearing.”
The left knows that their hands-off approach to the border problem is not a winning strategy among Americans; the American people are sick and tired of the drugs and violence coming into our country via the southern border.
Our border has turned into a battlefield, with innocent Americans becoming the victims. Whether it’s drugs, high crime, or job loss, our citizens are facing severe consequences from having an unenforced border.
