Dave Portnoy’s Barstool Fund Is Saving The Small Businesses That Big Government Is Destroying
Dave Portnoy is an entrepreneur and investor, but he is best known as the founder of the internet phenomenon, Barstool Sports.
Over the last year, Dave Portnoy has done more for small businesses than our Government ever has.
As you all are well aware, the COVID-19 pandemic completely decimated our country, and we are now slowly getting back on our feet. The reason hundreds of small businesses and livelihoods are making a comeback is because of people like Dave.
Dave launched the “Barstool Fund” to revive these businesses, which has raised over 37 million dollars through 224,000+ supporters and has essentially saved a total of 332 businesses and counting.
He actually has helped the businesses with these donations. He is not taking a huge chunk for a salary like cough cough… The Clintons.
When Dave first launched the fund, donations from regular people across the country wanting to help others in desperate need flooded in almost instantaneously. I truly believe this is because people trust Dave Portnoy and know that he is a good man with good intentions.
Portnoy frequently posts videos showing himself telling businesses that they are receiving assistance from the Barstool Fund over Facetime, and you can tell how relieved they to hear the news.
You should help people because it is in your heart, not because the Government forces you through outrageous legislation advertised to help people but never actually lives up to its promises.
Our very own Turning Point USA Activism Hub President, Josiah Martin, was a Barstool Fund recipient!
He said, “It all happened in under a minute, but the story goes beyond that and I’m so grateful for this opportunity. He was really nice and asked a few questions and simply told me, “We want to support your business.” That was the bottom line.”
Josiah continued, “After the call, I got to thinking about it and how this is more than the government has or will ever do for me as a small business owner at the age of 19. Additionally, it’s not just a one-time payment; it’s monthly until things improve or are self-sustained. I love how this is funded by people who have made donations and is now going directly back to businesses that need it. It’s amazing, as the fourth generation in my family to own this business, I’m so excited to be able to continue making pretzels!”

After a devastating year that included a combination of leftist leaders forcing ridiculous and borderline tyrannical rules on people’s businesses and the mainstream media scaring people away from doing normal everyday activities, it has caused businesses and livelihoods to suffer immensely across the country. In my opinion, government should seek advice from Dave Portnoy. He’s led the charge to save businesses and lift spirits. He knows how to get our country’s working-class back on track and feel appreciated.
Our country needs more leaders and influential figures like Dave Portnoy.
