How often have you heard the lie that the Left is the only side that cares about land conservation?

I bet you didn’t know–it was conservatives who pioneered the conservation of public lands. Several conservative presidents in American history focused their policies heavily on environmental protection in a sensible way, which is how we got our National Park Service, the Environmental Protection Agency, and more!

Today, conservatives remain champions of public lands, despite what you may have heard in the news or from the Left. Last year, it was a conservative senator from my home state of Colorado, Cory Gardner, who authored the Great American Outdoors Act–championed by a conservative President, Donald Trump.

The Great American Outdoors Act cut through mountains (see what I did there 😏) of red tape from the massive DC bureaucracy managing our public lands, including the National Park Service, to finally address a backlog in maintenance for trails, buildings, roads, & more worth $12 BILLION. We had been neglecting our public lands for years on both sides of the political aisle, and once more, it took strong conservative leadership to make a tangible change.

The fact that these critical projects haven’t been undertaken is proof that #BigGovSUCKS.
