The Values Needed to Stop The Tyrants
We’ve all seen the stories coming out: Americans are starting to push back. Police officers, firefighters, airline pilots, truckers, and so many others have provided the necessary item for significant change to begin. They were the first domino to fall, and now the effects will be massive.
The men and women standing up to the government’s vaccination mandates show key character traits that Americans have abandoned for too long: courage, fortitude, and resilience. They knowingly made sacrifices and embraced discomfort in exchange for the greater good.
Let’s reflect on these three key traits:
Courage: “the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.”
Fortitude: mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.
Resilience: “resilience is the psychological quality that allows some people to be knocked down by the adversities of life and come back at least as strong as before, rather than letting difficulties, traumatic events, or failure overcome them and drain their resolve. Highly resilient people find a way to change course, emotionally heal, and continue moving toward their goals.”
The first step we can all take to better our country is to better ourselves: physically, spiritually, mentally, and morally.
