The George Floyd Memorial is an Autonomous Zone
Honestly, I had no idea this was occurring until I saw this video posted to Twitter this week. You have to see this:
There was just a shooting near the zone and it was covered by Ari Hoffman of the Post Millennial. Here are some pictures from the zone:
And if you look closely at the picture below, you can see this great sign, “Unite in Love.”
Violent radicals always love to use misleading and distorted language, so this isn’t shocking.
Here are the basics:
- Drivers are not allowed inside of the zone.
- Press is threatened when they attempt to document what’s happening.
- POLICE CANNOT ENTER THE ZONE… wait, what?!
New information is still popping up as more attention is drawn to the area, so I’ll keep you guys updated. For now, just keep an eye on the news for this area, considering the trial against Derek Chauvin, the police officer who killed George Floyd kicks off.
