Thanks to the California Leftists, if the amount stolen is less than $950, it is a misdemeanor, also known as a slap on the wrist.
I would argue that most cops wouldn’t even show up, and if they did, it would be an hour or more later, giving the shoplifters enough time to grab a smoothie on their walk home.
