SHOCKING: Army Drops High School Requirement for Enlisted Members

The Army announced that, in the wake of a military-wide recruiting crisis, it will be dropping the requirement for new enlistees to possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate, as reported by American Military News.

The Army will not require those education qualifications through the end of the fiscal year for 2022, which is October 1st. Individuals still need to be at least 18 years of age or older to enlist.

NBC News reported on the shortage of new enlistees, reading from the article:

“This is the start of a long drought for military recruiting,” said Ret. Lt. Gen. Thomas Spoehr of the Heritage Foundation, a think tank.”

“Spoehr said he does not believe a revival of the draft is imminent, but “2022 is the year we question the sustainability of the all-volunteer force.”

Earlier this year, the Army offered a $50,000 signing bonus to enlist, in hopes that the financial incentive alone would boost recruiting numbers.

The shortage follows a long list of transgressions committed by the top brass at the military, that have been passed down to the lower ranking enlisted members. Transgressions that include the implementation of divisive CRT education, poorly executed programs and procedures, as well as the involuntary discharge of at least 3,400 troops for refusal of the Covid-19 vaccine, as reported by Military Times, and refusal respect individual faith by declining approve religious exemptions.

The Military Times writes the following regarding religious exemptions:

“To date, though the services have received tens of thousands of requests, the Air Force has only approved nine, the Marine Corps has approved three and the Army has approved one.”

Now, after discharging thousands of troops, the Department of Defense is pointing to young eligible American’s having a “lack of familiarity with military service,” to explain the shortage in new recruits.

This shortage led officials to drop education requirements, rather than vaccine requirements to keep members of the military who already signed up to serve their country. These members were trained, committed, some even at their 19-mark with the military, nearing retirement and pension.

Similar to the Army’s short-lived experiment in implementing a gender-neutral physical training test, lowering standards will not create the strongest possible force.

These new lax requirements will be in effect until October 1st, 2022, after which date the Army will return to its original enlistment qualifications.
