What is it that makes a mob a mob?

A mob is a fickle group of people that choose a target, surround it, and then attack it, as they are hell-bent on causing trouble or a ruckus.  For this reason, many individuals refrain from participating in crime syndicates (i.e., the mafia, cartel, and other mob-like organizations) because you never truly know when it is in their best interest to turn against you at any given moment.

Cancel culture has been called a “mob” as well, and I must say for a relatively good reason. You see, while the “leaders” of the gang typically have something to gain from the mob mentality like money, fame, and advancement of sorts, the actual “mobsters,” the ones fighting the battle themselves, can only be controlled to a certain extent. Therefore, the real power of this mob resides more in the collective of lower-level “mobsters” as opposed to the ones in charge. Ultimately, the “leaders” of the cancel culture vulture are only as powerful as their soldiers will.

We all saw a little while ago how the mainstream media, one of the leading forces in the cancel culture mob, did everything in their power to protect former Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo when allegations of sexual assault were levied against him in a grand and persistent fashion. Fortunately, the “leaders” were not able to control their “mobster” soldiers, and eventually cancel culture took him down. Well, seems like we are witnessing political deja vu as we witness another Cuomo, this time CNN anchor, Chris Cuomo, having allegations of sexual misconduct brought before him. Yet again, we see mainstream media (more notably CNN) report on financial allegations brought against those on the Right in efforts to divert attention rather than address the issues at hand with their own on-screen talent.

Let’s see if these media mob bosses can persuade their underlying Leftists to not go after their darling. Will Chris Cuomo suffer the same fate as his disgraced brother?
