President Biden Prevents Evictions Due To COVID
President Biden has extended the memorandum preventing evictions “because of COVID.”
So did he also erase the mortgage of the landlord?
Did he also erase the property taxes the owner has to pay?
The answer is no to both of those questions.
Whoever owns the building and operates the business has expenses REGARDLESS if people even occupy the building.
If they do not have rent coming in, how do they pay these astronomical expenses?
Landlords are not multi-millionaires, in fact, they do not make much.
This is actually a speck of Socialism. Nothing is free. Someone always has to pay for it. We can’t get into the habit of letting the government take care of us, pay our bills, and further their hand into our lives. American’s should aim to be self sufficient and only rely on themselves, not the government and government funded social programs.
