Pixar’s “Lightyear” is a Bust at the Box Office

As someone who is generally on top of the news, I was disappointed in myself for missing the buzz surrounding the new Pixar movie, “Lightyear.” Much to my chagrin, I took my son to see the movie I believed to be a good-hearted children’s film, and within five minutes I had spit out my popcorn in utter shock.
Why is a children’s movie forcing a storyline about a main character’s sexual orientation? Complete with an age-inappropriate romantic kiss between two animated female characters, the film reeked of a well known and loathsome word: WOKE.
At this point, we have all heard the expression “go woke, go broke”. The age-old adage strikes again as Deadline, a left-leaning source for Hollywood news, reports:
“Disney’s Lightyear . . . is coming in way under its $70M-$85M projection with a $51M-$55M 3-day weekend . . .”
While some might hope that this would encourage Hollywood filmmakers to refrain from indoctrinating children in their work, we know that Pixar will more likely place the blame on viewers for not bending their will to better align with the movie’s radical agenda.
