Formerly-Trans Teen Speaks Out About Her Experience — the Consequences of Transitioning

Chloe Cole, a teenage girl from California, began a transition from female to male at just 13. First, she was placed on puberty blockers and given testosterone, then by 15, she underwent top surgery to “affirm” her perceived male gender. At 16 years old, Chloe Cole de-transitioned, and began to speak out against medical intervention for underage kids who suffer from gender dysphoria.

Now 17, Cole recently spoke at a public hearing in Florida about her experience.

“I really didn’t understand all of the ramifications of any of the medical decisions that I was making,” Chloe said at the hearing, as reported by Fox News.

In the video, Cole says, “I don’t know if I’ll be able to fully carry a child, and I might be at increased risk for certain cancers, mainly cervical cancer. She can be seen taking pause, fully contemplating what this means for her future, for her children’s future. It is heartbreaking to watch.

Cole’s statement is a perfect example as to why our country has an age of consent. Young kids and teenagers do not have the capacity to understand the full severity or permanence of their decisions. That is why parents, legal guardians, and doctors have the obligation to protect children, and make sound judgement on their behalf for their safety both medically and emotionally. Unfortunately, the opposite is taking place all over the country.

“If you are considering transitioning, please wait until you are a fully developed adult . . . Transitioning can damage your body and mind in ways that we may not fully understand.” Cole told Fox News Digital.

Florida’s Surgeon General, Joseph Ladapo, wrote in a Tweet, “Florida doesn’t support the medicalization of minors with GD [gender dysphoria] because the benefits are unproven, and the risks are extraordinarily high.”

The Florida hearing was not the first time Cole spoke publicly about her de-transition process. Below, she can be seen sharing her story in California, in attempt to prevent more underage children from undergoing the same medical procedures she did.

“He [the therapist] brushed off my parents’ concerns about the efficacy of hormones, puberty blockers, and surgeries. My parents were given the threat of suicide as a reason to move me forward in my transition.” Cole said to the California State Assembly.

Cole’s Twitter (@ChoooCole) has become a resource for anyone looking to understand the consequences of transitioning at such a young age. In response to a comment from another Twitter user, Cole wrote regarding her top surgery, “There was simply no way for me to understand the gravity of the decisions I was making.”

There are numerous stories from people just like Chloe Cole, whose parents were given the ultimatum: transition your child, or they will commit suicide. Now suffering the consequences of their transition, many have started to speak out against the social contagion of transgenderism.

We are just starting to see the repercussions of medical experimentation on children.

In April, I interviewed two people who de-transitioned after being sold the lie of “gender affirming care” by social media and society at large that used transitioning as a means of acceptance and self-love. They explained how their view of themselves was severely impacted by online communities that encouraged gender transitioning as the one-size fits all solution to any problem.
