Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair in Davos: We Need a ‘Digital Infrastructure’ to Monitor the Unvaccinated

One of the most concerning things to occur on day four of Davos was the call by Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair for a digital database which would monitor the vaccination status of individuals. On the panel “100 Days to Outrace the Next Pandemic,” Blair spoke about the possibility of another global pandemic shaping our world in the next fifteen years, and that our healthcare system must digitize in a way that keeps track of who is vaccinated and who is not.
The idea of a digital library that has the vaccination status of everyone around the world sounds like something you would read in George Orwell’s 1984.
When the COVID-19 was distributed to the public, those in power were routinely calling for vaccination requirements almost everywhere an individual would go. From restaurants, to grocery stores, to even one’s own workplace, proof of vaccination started to be required for an individual to gain entry.
This tyrannical policy that removed an individual’s ability to have medical privacy was done under the argument that is was “for the collective good.” But we later learned that the COVID-19 vaccines did NOT reduce transmission like they were advertised by the manufacturers. This means that one individual’s vaccination status did not affect the safety of another person. In other words: it was not your business who is vaccinated and who is not.
If the World Economic Forum Summit shows us anything, it proves that there is a group of elites who think they are smarter than you and that they should have the authority to set rules for your everyday life. They believe that individual liberty must be removed for the safety of large-scale communities. But it has been proven time and time again that the safety they promise is predicated on lies and misinformation.
COVID-19 taught us that our leaders will be eager to remove individual liberty if they believe the public is scared enough to sacrifice it. If another pandemic were to unfold in the future, the lessons we learned from COVID-19 must be remembered so that our freedoms are not violated again.
