Turning Point USA’s Club America is partnering with Teacher Freedom Alliance to support and grow chapters throughout schools in the US.
The announcement of the partnership was made Thursday by Club America Enterprise Director Nick Cocca and Teacher Freedom Alliance CEO Ryan Walters.
“The Teacher Freedom Alliance is excited today to announce a new partnership with Turning Point USA to get their Club America chapters all across the country and all 50 states,” Walters said Thursday. “We want to teach our kids love of country and make sure our kids are learning at the highest rate possible.”
TPUSA has come under “heavy attacks” in establishing Club America chapters on schools, including pushback from school administrators, Walters noted.
Walters is enthusiastic about the effect of TPUSA’s mission and values on students.
“Turning Point’s models of getting back to Americanism in the classroom, real debate, real understanding of civics, is a tremendous effort for our kids,” he said.
The Teacher Freedom Alliance describes its mission as one which supports freedom for educators “to pursue excellence in the classroom free of ideological interference.”
“We do this by helping educators exercise their First Amendment rights to voluntary associate in support of teaching successive generations of free, moral, and upright American citizens,” the organization states on its website.
Walters formerly served as Superintendent of Public Instruction for the state of Oklahoma. While serving in that role, he announced a partnership with TPUSA in September 2025, ensuring state schools are able to have Club America chapters without administrative or student obstruction.
