A cowardly ambush leaves two sheriff deputies gravely wounded after being shot multiple times by a deranged gunman. The response from the locals: chants which included “we hope they die”, as they stood in protest against the lives of the wounded deputies outside of the hospital to where they were admitted. This is indicative of the continuous fall of humanity, as unprovoked violent attacks against the innocent are met with praise for the attacker, and scorn directed towards the victim. Oh how far the world has fallen!
