TPUSA Volunteer Allegedly Attacked Before Chloe Cole Event at West Chester

A protester reportedly attacked a TPUSA volunteer before an event featuring activist and de-transitioner Chloe Cole at West Chester University on Thursday.
The volunteer, Stephen Papp, held a poster stating “Prove Me Wrong: There are only 2 genders.” A man on campus, who disagreed with the message, allegedly walked up to Papp and spat on him. Papp moved his poster in an attempt to deflect the spit.
The incident then escalated when the man punched Papp on the neck, prompting other students to intervene and break up the fight. Although the assault was not recorded, videos taken afterward show the man leaving the scene while being pursued by police. He was eventually detained by law enforcement, though it is unknown whether he was criminally charged.
Papp intends to press charges against the man who assaulted him. He expressed that he would never physically attack someone with opposing views:
“I respect their views; I would never assault any of them. I don’t know why he felt the need to assault me,” Papp said.
TPUSA Founder and CEO Charlie Kirk made commented on the incident on X, noting that these types of assaults on TPUSA chapters and events are “becoming a weekly occurrence.”
In early April, a TPUSA event with Officer Brandon Tatum was sabotaged by a group of Antifa protesters who vandalized a table and stole materials, including a canopy, iPads, and laptops. A few weeks prior to the incident at UC Davis, a similar assault occurred at UT Dallas. A man who identifies as transgender, with a considerable criminal record, attacked a TPUSA table and some chapter representatives, injuring the chapter’s president.
