TPUSA PWL: Colleen Clemens At Kutztown University Believes School Shootings Are A Result Of Toxic Masculinity

Professor Colleen Clemens of Kutztown University is a Professor of Non-Western Literatures and Director of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies dedicated to, in her words, teaching about the intersection between “race, class, gender, ability, and sexuality.”
Beyond her classroom responsibilities, Clemens also runs an online blog called Feminist AF: Reflections on Gender and Postcolonial Issues and writes for the Southern Poverty Law Center–where she centers her articles on subjects like:
- Advocating for “trigger warnings” to be placed in class syllabi
- The harm caused by “gendered” graduation ceremonies and
- Praising “preferred pronouns” and describing how she incorporates them into her lectures
In one of her many published articles, Clemens claimed that men in the United States are raised to be just as violent at ISIS men, and has repeatedly tweeted, “TOXIC MASCULINITY IS KILLING US.” She has also claimed school shootings are the result of toxic masculinity.
